A little cultural help?
Does SMC stand for something in addition to Seattle Men's Chorus of which I am not aware? I am the only one who lists "seattle men's chorus" as an interest, but a community and nineteen people have "smc" on their list of interests. Most of them are in California (none from Washington), some are from Indiana (including the community,

SWM or GWM are the typical personals acronyms (Single White Male or Gay White Male).
I suppose there's that, but it doesn't really explain how so many of them are from California or Notre Dame.
When I did a google search of "SMC + notre dame" the site at the top of the list was a right to life group. Would make sense if people were from Indiana (people tend to be rather conservative in that area). Maybe reply to one of their posts and ask what their SMC stands for?
Then again, the second site on the google search was a gay/lesbian/transgender website. Meh. Just ask one of the people who listed SMC what the heck SMC is. I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you all about it regardless of what it stands for. This goes on the assumption that both Right to Life folks and folks in a gay/lesbian/transgender action coalition like it when people are interested in their work.
SMC also stands for 'Specialty Merchandise Corporation'.By the way, this is Jen Miller, we went to highschool together.
